What do Roots do?

All plants have roots. Roots are a very important part of plants. Roots help plants stay in one place. So plants can grow.

Roots grow under the ground and eat food and drink water. They give this food and water to stems and leaves.

Roots store food. The food makes flowers bloom. The food makes the plant grow bigger.

Plants can not live without roots. Roots are an important part of plants.
